Hario v60

The easy and always enjoyable Hario v60. Caffeine up my friends.

Step 01 - Rinse

Filter and preheat vessel with 200℉ water. This rids the filter of impurities and warms the cup. (be sure to dump rinse water)

Step 02 - Dose

Dose V60 with 26g of medium ground coffee. Tap the sides of dripper to level the coffee bed.

Step 03 - Bloom

“Bloom” the coffee by pouring 50g grams of water evenly over the coffee bed. Wait 30 seconds.

Step 04 - Pour

Pour a consistent, thin stream of water starting in the center spiraling your way outward yet avoiding the outside edge at 30 seconds. You should reach 200g by 1:00

Step 05 - Slurry

Allow the slurry of coffee and water to drop slightly then slowly add 100g more of water in a spiral motion. Your scale should read 300g at approximately 1:45

Step 06 - Slurry Again

Allow the slurry of coffee and water to drop slightly then slowly add 100g grams more of water in a spiral motion. Wash the grinds on the side of filter with your last pass

Step 07 - Final Brew

Final Brew • Your brew should finish at approximately 3:00- 3:30 • If coffee brews too fast adjust the grind finer • If coffee brews too slow coursen the grind • Serve or Enjoy!
