It is what you think it is. Definitely as good as my fav, Ethiopian Yaye. This is what I think of when you talk about best coffee in the world. The acidity balances with the dryness deeply in perfect way for me. An exquisite treat from Magnolia to offer.
Good balance between fruit and earthy notes. Have only experienced as a pour over, but consistently yields a nice bloom and an attenuated flavor profile.
This is a lovely coffee, definite chocolate and smooth finish. For me, it didn't have the full bodied "oomph" I was looking for. I went back to Magnolia and tried two others. The jury is still out since they just arrived.
My palate is one that very much prefers dark, rich, full bodied coffees devoid of fruitiness. I use a pour over preparation technique. With this in mind, I am not generally a fan of Magnolia's light and medium roast offerings. Among the dark roasts, Papua New Guinea Dark was my favorite. Dreamlands still retained a hint of fruitiness whereas Cashmere seemed over roasted. Corduroy had a decent flavor but not as distinctive as Papua New Guniea Dark
