LIGHTER ROAST | Strawberry Shortcake | Watermelon | Sweet Citrus

An exceptional natural-processed, heirloom variety from the Bombe Village in the Sidama region. We look forward to the new crop every year. We think this year’s lot tastes extra special. We taste strawberry shortcake or strawberries & cream layered with tones of sweet citrus fruits like pineapple. This coffee should be enjoyed pure with no additives as the natural fruit tones provide an amazing cup.

In 2006 Daye Bensa Coffee was established by two brothers - Asefa & Mulugeta Dukamo. They operate multiple washing stations and 4 dry mills within Sidama. The Durato Bombe is collected from more than 600 small farm producers in the village of Durato of Bombe Kebele in the Bensa Woreda district of Sidama. The village shares it's name with the mountain of Bombe where the coffee grows. Meticulous processing occurs at the Qunqna mill where it is sun dried as whole cherry for 10-15 days creating a fruit-forward and complex flavor profile.

Unbelievably delicious

Never had coffee this delicious. It's amazing. I'm not sure I'm worthy.

Believe the Hype

If you prefer pour over (I tend to do Japanese style with ice) this coffee is legit. In my experience, darker roasts usually fare better with pour over, but the Ethiopia Durato Bombe Natural really surprised me.

Great with or without cream. Highly recommended and I'll certainly order another bag, or two.

My favorite right now

A total fruit bomb and so clean. Can clearly taste blueberry brewing multiple different ways. I’ve mainly been doing V60 and espresso with this bean and it is SO good.

excellent flavor

these beans produce an excellent cup of coffee. Far superior to generic Ethiopian Yirgachefe although a bit more expensive
