LIGHTER ROAST | Blueberry | Strawberry Jam | Honey | Cocoa Nib

Our roast rated 95 points by Coffee Review (August 2025). We love natural processed Ethiopia coffees and this is a stunning lot from the renowned Worka Sakaro washing station in the Gedeo zone of Yirgacheffe.  Along with 12 standardized washing tanks and 171 drying beds, Worka Sakaro has 2.9 hectares of land for coffee growing located at 1995m in the village of Worka Chelbiesa.

The smallholder farmers deliver their ripe cherries to the washing station where they are immediately hand sorted for quality and the best are taken to sun dry on raised beds for approximately 21 days. Worka Sakaro is known for the consistent very high quality.

Fruity

Wonderful fruity notes with low acid.

Mellow and multi-layered

Very nice Ethiopian natural! Not as intense as some, but I'm getting an intriguing duality in my cups. On the surface it's smooth and mellow for a "fruit bomb" coffee. Underneath there's plenty of layered complexity, and a clarified chocolate base, to savor.
Recommended. And a great way to introduce coffee "normies" to this type of brew.
