About the coffee and producer This lot has all the delicate nuance and complexity you'd expect from a Colombia Gesha. This washed lot is the work of Leonardo Henao, a devoted coffee producer from Santa Barbara, Antioquia. From an early age, Leonardo discovered his love for coffee and devoted his life to mastering the craft of cultivating exceptional beans. His dedication was recognized in 2020 when he earned the prestigious title of Cup of Excellence Champion. Just two years later, however, security issues in the region forced him to part with his beloved farm.
Even in the face of such loss, Leonardo’s passion for coffee and the land remained unshaken. In 2024, fortune offered him a new beginning with the chance to acquire Finca El Jardín. Today, he pours his years of experience and relentless dedication into this 15-hectare farm, where each harvest reflects both his resilience and his pursuit of excellence. Beyond producing outstanding coffees, Leonardo is committed to sharing his knowledge with other growers, fostering a richer, more diverse coffee culture for the future.
What is the Gesha varietal? Gesha is a variety of coffee tree that originated in the Gori Gesha forest, Ethiopia, though it is now grown in several other nations in Africa, Asia, and the Americas. It is widely known for its unique flavor profile of floral and sweet notes, and its exclusivity as its demand has increased over the years. The flavor profile of Gesha coffee is one aspect that contributes to its renown. Gesha is known for its aroma and sweet flavor of floral notes, jasmine, chocolate, berries, & honey. These sweet floral notes, and complex flavor profiles are some of the many characteristics that Gesha coffee shares with most other African coffees. Gesha is perhaps the most valuable coffee in the world.

Very solid cup of coffee. Not fruity but definitely just like a high -level smooth balanced classic coffee taste. (Not sure it’s quite good enough to warrant the higher price but it’s definitely a thoroughly enjoyable cup of coffee so wouldn’t the price tag is like too too crazy)

Love the fruitiness and the finish.
I’ve been really liking the fruitiness of this coffee along with the sweetness. Brewing it with a couple different drippers (v60&origami) I’ve found it had a bigger finish than even some of the Ethiopian coffees I’ve had, before or after.
Choosing a selection results in a full page refresh.
I found this to be a very well-balanced light roast. It is bright and has just enough punch. My buddies preferred this to the more citric leaning choices.
Not only is this one of the best coffees I’ve had, the small business behind it is just as impressive. I stumbled on Magnolia Coffee while going down a Reddit rabbit hole, and their Jade espresso blend caught my attention. Turns out they’re highly rated and just two miles from me. Got a chance to talk to the owner and their master roaster. Great people and an even better product.

Delicious Coffee!
I love their Papua New Guinea single origins. It’s a delicious daily drinker. Makes a great French press, Iced Coffee and I’ve pulled excellent espresso shots with it too. Highly recommend.
