Colombia La Gema features the best small lots of washed processed coffees from small farm producers we find each season. Our newest lot comes from the Cauca growing region at elevations of 1400-2000 meters. This is a tasty everyday drinking coffee with the classic Colombia profile you expect --medium body with a balance of sugary sweetness and tart acidity. We taste cocoa and light molasses with mild tones of citrus fruits.

My lease favorite Magnolia bean
The citrus and stone fruit combination is not to my preference, with the stone fruit tartness being particularly overpowering. That tart profile hits the palate immediately and lingers into a pronounced acidity. The only chocolate notes I detect skew dark and bitter.

For espresso, Dreamland is absolutely fantastic! I'm completely in love with it. While I also really enjoy their Jade, this medium-dark roast has officially become my absolute favorite. Another incredible offering from Magnolia Coffee that I highly recommend! 👍🏼
The beans just don't seem fresh to me. I do a pour-over and grind the beans right before brewing. I'm not pleased and may have to go back to Fellows for my coffee.

I spent a good portion of my life in the coffee business. At one point, I owned five coffee houses. So, I think I know a thing or two about coffee. Magnolia's coffee is outstanding. Every type of coffee that I have tried is superior. Right now I'm pulling Cashmere blend through my espresso machine. It's wonderful. Good job, Magnolia! Expect more orders from the Florida town of Ave Maria!
