We love Costa Rican coffees from the renowned Tarrazú growing region and this is one of our favorites. Tasty notes of milk chocolate & honey with notes of light citrus and stone fruits.
About the farm and producers High in Costa Rica's famed Tarrazú region, Coopedota began on October 14, 1960, when 96 coffee producers came together with one mission: build better opportunities for local farmers and raise the bar for Costa Rican coffee. Santa María comes from that same origin and those same producers — representing the most carefully selected lots from each harvest.
Today, the cooperative's legacy lives on through more than 1,200 dedicated members farming the region's rich volcanic soil. Their standards are uncompromising: no more than 2% unripe cherries accepted at delivery, ensuring every lot reflects the true character of its origin.
Over six decades, Coopedota has grown into something bigger than a cooperative — a movement rooted in innovation and sustainability, from the 2024 launch of Project One to its own roastery, coffee school, and immersive farm tours. Every cup carries the story of the community, craft, and land behind it.
Project One is Coopedota's pioneering sustainability initiative developed in partnership with CATIE and CAIA-Alejandría. Building on Coopedota's status as the world's first carbon-neutral coffee processor, the project uses AI and real-time data to help farmers make smarter growing decisions, while an innovative organic fertilizer made from coffee byproducts reduces waste and improves soil health. The goal is ambitious: Carbon Positive certification — pushing sustainability in coffee farming even further, with people and community always at the center of the innovation.

This is one of the best coffees we've gotten from Magnolia. wonderful mouthfeel, good complexity, warm wake-up notes, yet not so challenging as to scramble an early morning start. Maintains great flavor for hours in my thermos mug, too!

I know something about coffee...
I spent a good portion of my life in the coffee business. At one point, I owned five coffee houses. So, I think I know a thing or two about coffee. Magnolia's coffee is outstanding. Every type of coffee that I have tried is superior. Right now I'm pulling Cashmere blend through my espresso machine. It's wonderful. Good job, Magnolia! Expect more orders from the Florida town of Ave Maria!

For espresso, Dreamland is absolutely fantastic! I'm completely in love with it. While I also really enjoy their Jade, this medium-dark roast has officially become my absolute favorite. Another incredible offering from Magnolia Coffee that I highly recommend! 👍🏼
The beans just don't seem fresh to me. I do a pour-over and grind the beans right before brewing. I'm not pleased and may have to go back to Fellows for my coffee.
Keramo has a strawberry aftertaste as noted. Refreshing and very easy to drink too fast. The kind of coffee you savor at its end. I have never tasted the other offerings from this farm but this is excellent. Not quite at the level of Las Lajas DD or Yaye for me. 3rd favorite, I would re-order when close to out.
