This slow dried natural wonderfully presents the unique characteristics of the SL28 varietal.
Magolia's writeup mentions fruits and florals, so I'll focus on acidity. Just that aspect of the cup is complex, balanced, multi-layered, mingling with aromatics and subtle spice notes. No single element, for instance the Meyer lemon like citric note, or the phosphoric bite, dominates. All sing together in a lovely chorus and sweeten the lingering finish.

I have heard a lot of talk about SL 28 however, I’ve never tried it myself. This coffee did not disappoint. The acidity is great and upfront and usually I have a hard time really liking acidity but in this cup it’s really excellent and it fades after a little bit you can taste the raspberry or the lemon. They kind of blend together, but it’s really a great cup of coffee And one of my favorites from magnolia yet.
Bali Blue Moon is an excellent full-bodied coffee with the roasty notes I’m looking for in a dark roast like this—but not bitter or over roasted. I can taste the natural tones of vanilla bean. This is an excellent very dark roast.
This has become my ‘go-to’ from this company. I’m not even entirely clear why but every time I drink this coffee- I just enjoy it and it makes me happy. There’s just this nice little flavor blend of a solid everyday coffee taste but also a subtle, pleasant fruity flavor running through it. It’s a tasty little cup of coffee that I honestly think benefits from not having too too much flavor or complexity- I think it’s the humble simplicity of this coffee that stands out most. Oh and of course- the name ‘Magnolia’ (plus the Magenta label- or whatever the right name for that color is) is fantastic.
