Brazil Blue Cherry is our newest lot from the Sul de Minas region, a landscape celebrated for the fertile soils and stable climate that produces the tasty Brazilian cup. These natural conditions allow for gradual maturation of the cherries, resulting in a coffee defined by its balanced acidity, natural sweetness, and smooth body.
This selection comes from the Minasul cooperative, founded in 1958. Minasul emphasizes sustainability, producer education, and innovation. Each year, the co-op hosts a Coffee Quality Contest to identify the region's premier lots; the coffees selected for "Blue Cherry" are sourced from these top-tier entries.
The name "Blue Cherry" reflects the fruit’s distinctive bluish hue and the coffee’s refined profile. The cup opens with creamy milk chocolate and caramel, followed by an elegant sweetness and a delicate, honey-like finish.
This is an excellent semi-washed Brazil and what we call a delicious everyday drinking coffee. It pairs well with cream and also makes a nice single origin espresso.
